. First Place in the National League of American Pen Women biannual contest, Ready! A Guide for Training the Search and Rescue Dog, 1996. The book was also nominated in 1994 by the Dog Writers Association. This book has been translated into Japanese and has been adopted worldwide.
. Honorable Mention in the National League of American Pen Women's biannual contest, Ready to Serve, Ready to Save: Strategies of Real Life Search and Rescue Missions, 2000.
